I know it has been a very long time since I posted anything.  I wouldn't be suprised if no one is reading this. 
After a talk with Mark, who suggested that I continue blogging even if it's just for us, that I would.
I have just been so istracted lately with everything I am about to recap below.

June:   Allison's 2nd. birthday!    We moved back to TX!! 

July: Mark's birthday  Allison started talking ALOT

August:  Mine and Vinces Birthdays,  Vince started KINDERGARTEN! 

September: don't remember

October:  more memory loss

November:  Thanksgiving in Poetry, Tx.  Allison got a twin bed and sleeps in it straight from the crib!

December:  Visit from Marilyn, Floyd, Dave, Marcia and Janelle!  Vince has a loose tooth!!!!!!

Well, now that you see I really didn't have a reason to stop blogging, I am rethinking this post!


I praise God that if you ask my kids what Christmas is about they will tell you Jesus. Vince, I believe, has a gift to see those in need and he desires to respond. He tells me daily about someone he wants to pray for.
He had such joy filling a box with gifts he picked for a missionary project at church. He had his Christmas party at school Friday and instructed the kids (matter of factly) at his table to bow their heads before eating pizza. My heart swelled and tears flowed from my eyes. I pray he never ceases to amaze me.

Wow, my baby is just a few weeks shy of 18!!!!!!  He went to prom this weekend and it was, for me, a bittersweet feeling.  He's on his way to be a man.  (As I type, he is asking for  a check for lunch)  LOL.
It's hard to believe that just what seems to be a short time ago I was handed a 6 lb, 14 1/2 oz baby boy and now he's going to prom!!   He has grown so much (no pun intended)  He doesn't need me to kiss his boo boo's and he doesn't come running up to me with a giant smile and wide eyes to show me something icky.  Gone are the days of hearing "mommy rock"  or "hold me. I sad"   My baby is a man, almost a full grown man.  It can't be true, I can't see past the tears flowing down my cheeks, my tiny baby boy is a man.

BUT...........he still needs that check.  LOL.

Ok, Just fair upfront warning...........there will be no pictures of my seriously spoiled, naughty beautiful children in this post! 

This post is just an at my whits end with these kids ranting.

VINCE: can talk and does waaaay too much  still, that boy cries and throws screaming tantrums way too much.  (we call them needing exorcism moments) REALLY!  He's taking an early nap right now due to one of them. That boy has a vocabulary and he uses it.  He says words most adults don't even use.  This morning he told Allison that he was PERTURBED because she wanted to take apart his block castle.  This one sided "conversation" and snatching the blocks away caused her to scream bloody murder. 


ALLISON: does not talk.  She can say momma and dada but only says it when crying and trying to get her way.  She has added another word well, i don't think it is actually a word.... HI-YAH (imagine karate chop sound)  Vince has taught it to her and she likes this new sound very much.  She loves her passie and I am (due to the episode mentioned above) using this time to place her down also for a nap WITHOUT IT! She hasn't had it all morning and is now napping with out it.  Well, I think she's napping, I don't hear her crying or playing with that dirty little bunny.


DUSTY:  LOL, where do I begin?  51 days and counting, this one will be 18.  WOW,  He still has the cleaning up after himself skills of a primate and there is a strange smell coming from his room you can smell downstairs.  Favorite phrase is "what's to eat"  sometimes I think this is all I hear him say until he asks for money or a truck. 


Huh, I thought this was going to be more of a rant but it's actually making me laugh.  I guess that's why God made them so cute and sleepy. 


Well, I better take advantage of this quiet mommy time.
