EMMA AND I ENJOYING A BOOK

Yesterday our pastor's wife asked me to do something very hard.
They have been called by God to leave life as they know it and become missionaries in Mexico!
She asked me to complete a questionnaire on the girls (Lottie and Emma) and submit it to the International Mission Board. She also asked Mark to complete one on her.
At first we were like, alright, great, no problem!
Then as we sat down at our kitchen table and looked at the forms, it dawned on me. I am at the exact same time both TRULY HONORED that she chose me to complete this on the behalf of her daughters who are very precious to me and also DEEPLY SADDENED that they are leaving us! I know it is incredible that they are willing to walk in the footsteps of Jesus by taking only what they can not leave behind and spreading the Word of God. I was also very ashamed that I am unsure that I could do the same.
I cried as I wrote, knowing that the words of love I have for this family will be the very same words that will take them away.
They have wept with us, prayed with us, rejoiced with us, worshiped with us and taught us the true reason for living is to fulfill the Great Commission.
WE LOVE YOU BYRD FAMILY AND WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!
