The Story About Ping.......

I got these great shots of Allison this morning! I was in the kitchen putting breakfast dishes in the dishwasher....... and I noticed she slipped off down the hall.  I followed her momentarily after I saw Vince head that way. She went into his room (because that's where all the books are) (he hordes them all) Vince yells, "It's ok mommy, shes reading on my bed."  I grab the camera just knowing she would quit and jump down before I could take a picture, but she was still sitting there.
"Ping" was originally given to Dusty by Mamaw when he was little.  Vince LOVES this book and has it memorized.
There she was, turning pages  in anticipation of what was next and pointing.   She USUALLY has no access to these books but Vince decided last night he would rearrange his bookshelf right after he pulled all them off.
I guess it's time to get Allison her very own bookshelf for her books now! I love to see them read!

Happy Thanksgiving from Tennessee

She has EVERY look her brother does and added a few more!  This little miss has attitude already!!

This was taken last weekend at Vince's friend Matthew's birthday.  Allison is wearing a dress that Aunt Tammy sent her paired with a hat that MaMaw made her! I wish I had a better picture but she was too excited to pose.

This morning Allison drove us crazy played nicely with the singing cat, dog and cow!

This was interesting watching my 3 guys trying to find all of the stuff they shove into the turkey!  Needless to say, the yucky junk got left in- Dusty found it as he was carving!  (good times)
Waiting on the turkey to cook and since Mark will be at work tomorrow, we decided to put the tree up.
Thanks Marilyn for sending the ornaments Mark grew up with!  He really enjoyed showing them to Vince.  Dusty and I got a big kick out of some of the dates written on the ones he made!!!  Hehehehehe.......old stuff!!
 Dusty waiting on the turkey!
TA- DA! DUSTY TRIED TO RIP ONE OF THE WINGS OFF BEFORE  I COULD TAKE THE PICTURE!
Vince insisted on taking off his training wheels!  We did and he just took off!!! He didn't need any help!
Rode it like he'd been doing it forever!

Poor Allison.......She played with her shadow.

This lawnmower was given to Vince at his 2nd. birthday. It's survival this long is a miracle in itself.  Dusty ended it's life when he ran over it with the van!  Allison can't accept her loss.  She really liked the mower.

A walk in the woods is always fun!
Holding Daddy's hand along the way.
Vince riding the 4 wheeler up and down the hills.
I have no idea why this is here twice but it sure is sweet!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

It takes all kinds..............

Someone once said, "It takes all kinds" he was referring to people, people in general in the world.

Some people are care free. Free in their finances (great jobs, beautiful homes, nice cars, designer clothes and shoes etc.), perfect wedding, husband, children, health and all the other "things" that society's social status says that you are better off with.

I have watched people over the years grow in material things and have sometimes felt like I'm on the outside looking in.  I have never traveled the world, I wasn't able to go to college, I never shopped for the perfect wedding dress, worn or even tried on a shoe that costs more than $50.00 and that's pushing it for me!
I do live in a nice big brick house on a quiet street but it's not mine.
I do have Pottery Barn items in my home but who cares right?
I drive a  loaded 2003 Chrysler Town and Country mini van but it has over 100k miles on it and I need new tires.
I have 3 great kids, they are the world to me.
I have a wonderful husband, He loves us and works very hard.
I am a stay at home mommy and I am grateful to my husband who wants me here at home.
We can pay our bills, we have luxuries and spend a little money but we are not abundant in wealth.
Seems to me that the last 4 things I mentioned are just a much note worthy as having everything in the world.

I am proud my family has Christ as our foundation and none of the other things amount to anything.

Some people have some, all or even none of these things but they have Christ as Lord and Savior and that my friends is the most valuable thing we could ever have.

So my introduction is plain and simple.  I'm Vicky Chapman and I'm a Christian.  And that my friends is the highest social status there is!

Be proud of me for that, not for my place in this word.

And to finish, it may take all kinds of people to stack on top of each other in class here on earth but in Heaven, there is no social class there is just ONE kind of people :  Servants of God!!

Be ready, for the Lord is coming soon.

Halloween 2011 and at the park again!

Well, Halloween has again come and gone.  I can't believe it's already November.  Fall here is so very differant than Texas.  It is colder....alot colder.  We have been in the low 60's from about 11:00am - 2:00pm then we get cold...it starts to drop and we end up in the 30's and 40's.  We've seen frost the past 3 mornings.  Ok, I know my Texas readers don't want to hear any more about the weather so here's our pictures from the park Sunday and Halloween (trunk or treat at Vince's school)

 She caught on quick!
 Stealing from Vince's bucket.
He is so cautious!  He didn't want to go up to the people.
Do these pants make my butt look big????   OMG!  Well hey, I had on a long sleeve T- shirt and night pants under my jeans which I SWEAR are 2 sizes too big!  REALLY!!!!  Hey, I do stuff like that, I have on flip flops and it's 55 degrees!!!!!   These Tennessee folks didn't think it was cold!
Allison had to stop and pet EVERY dog there, and almost everyone had one.  Allison liked the candy packages, Mark gave her a tootsie roll and she fisted it for about an hour.  We stayed here for about 45 minutes, went home and met up with Matthew (Vince's cute little neighbor friend)  and his dad and Mark drove us all around the neighborhood.  Once the sun was gone it got really cold so we headed home.
This park was AWESOME!!!!  We went Sunday afternoon.
 Silly Daddy.
They had a sand pit and buckets!!!
Ok, I have no idea what the deal is with like 12 huge tires cut in half. but all the kids sure liked them.
She kept leaning forward and freaking us out.  She thought it was funny.

 Daddy is my prince.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKLAHOMA, WHERE THE WINDS COME SWEEPING DOWN THE PLAINS.

 Vince really liked pushing her.
