Merry Christmas 2011, picture overload!

I just thought this was cute.
Making cookies for santa with Mamaw.

Playing with Daddy in Vince's room.
We cooked on Christmas Eve....Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn rolls and macaroni and cheese. Oh, and pumpkin cream cheese pie.
 YUMMMMYY.
Mark and Allison played Daddy the unicorn reindeer and she laughed and laughed until she couldn't breath!

Vince sprinkled reindeer food on Christmas eve.

Left milk and cookies for santa.  He wanted to leave his picture and his note asking for a rocket in case santa forgot.
HE CAME!   I feel the need to say YES, we did tell the kids that Jesus is the reason for the season!
 Dusty got coal!
 Allison did not get it.

Crossway Baptist Mothers Day Out Christmas Program 2011

Allison was so excited she finally got to wear her outfit.  She cried and banged on her armoire wanting it the day Igot it.  She held it tight and I had to pry it out of her hands!!!
I tell you the truth, this girl really likes clothes and shoes!
 Little miss.
This was a sweet little program.  Vince was a shepherd.  He really isn't one of those "performing" kids,he is more serious in a group.  They sang a few songs and then it was over.  What do you expect from 2, 3 and 4 year olds?  Hamlet perhaps..........SNOOZE. I was nodding off during this! No, I was not.... really ok maybe just a little.
He just kept looking at us until they sang Jingle Bells..... then he sang.
He said boy's are not supposed to wear dresses (the robe).
But he managed to give a half $#^ smile in this picture.

Winter Wonderland light show

Tuesday night we went to Nashville for the 1 mile drive -thru Christmas lights to music.  It was very well done and the kids loved  it!  At the end they had a large heated tent with a ferris wheel and a train and santa and ................I felt like a kid again! There were not many people there yet, (bonus!) we went pretty early because Allison goes to bed at 6 and we didnt want to drive the 45 min. home with a screamer..HA!  She screamed the entire way and I  (as we were driving down the highway) climbed into the back of the van to sit with her.
Alllison was too small to ride anything but she wanted to!
Allison had her hair done and was ready to get her gingerbread snuggies on!
Sorry the pictures didn't turn out very well.  Our camera is on the fritz.  We saw Santa but I can't show you that.... We ordered Christmas cards from them and oh my, I hope they come in in time to get them mailed out!
Needless to say,  It was time to go.

The Story About Ping.......

I got these great shots of Allison this morning! I was in the kitchen putting breakfast dishes in the dishwasher....... and I noticed she slipped off down the hall.  I followed her momentarily after I saw Vince head that way. She went into his room (because that's where all the books are) (he hordes them all) Vince yells, "It's ok mommy, shes reading on my bed."  I grab the camera just knowing she would quit and jump down before I could take a picture, but she was still sitting there.
"Ping" was originally given to Dusty by Mamaw when he was little.  Vince LOVES this book and has it memorized.
There she was, turning pages  in anticipation of what was next and pointing.   She USUALLY has no access to these books but Vince decided last night he would rearrange his bookshelf right after he pulled all them off.
I guess it's time to get Allison her very own bookshelf for her books now! I love to see them read!
