Houston.....WE'VE GOT KICKING!!!

This little Pea Pod has been making mommy nervous for a bit now. It has finally started it's rolling and kicking! It is so neat, I never get enough. Hopefully it won't be too long before Mark and the boys can join in on the fun! I just can't wait to see Vince's reaction the first time it kicks him! He knows there's a baby in my tummy and tells EVERYONE! He lifts up my shirt and says "hi baby" and blows on my belly! He is so cute! I just hope he still likes baby when it comes home!!

Prayer request

Well, I am hesitant to post on this but our family needs your prayers.

We got a call from the Dr. regarding blood work. It seems that we are in an at risk category for the baby to have Down Syndrome. IT DOES NOT MEAN the baby has it, it means we are going to a specialist at The Fetal Care Center on January 4th to have a level 2 sonogram. It is THEN that if they see cause to warrant an amniocentesis we will know and have more information. I can say that I am glad we did the blood work even tho I have been crying a lot, because I have spent more time with God in 1 day then in a while. I can also say that I am pretty sure even if the sonogram comes back leaning to this..........I do not think we would want to do the amnio. The risk of miscarriage is low but I don't want to chance it. We love this little miracle already and no matter what God is in control and He knows what He's doing! Please only pray for His will in this and we are too!

WHAT????? 4 MONTHS ALREADY????

yUP, WE ARE 4 MONTHS ALONG TODAY! I guess it's time for some belly shots! I was telling Mark last night that we needed to do it! He's MORE than willing to take a shot of my belly!
I will warn you that it looks weird! All sunk in at top and round at bottom! I will try to get the pic's up tonight.
I am really starting to feel that little pea pod squirming around now, too bad it will be a bit before others can feel it. I just want to fast forward December and get to Christmas then the sonogram! I still can't believe I'm stuck waiting an extra week or so...... Really, who gets a 2 week vacation at Christmas??? Oh well.... at least we will be really sure of the sex. I see a lot of you are voting boy and that's ok! I am kinda thinking that's the case too! Mark is still thinking girl. Vince says he wants a sister. Dusty says "whatever".

We had a great time yesterday! We got to see Wendell, my nephew, that we haven't seen in a while. He brought his girlfriend and we also had Mom, Dad, Shawna, John, Bonnie, Tessa, baby John, Randy, Bri, and us. The lasagna, bread, cheesecake, pumpkin pie and salad was sooooo good! We went for about 4 hours and it was sad to see it was over. The kids were tired and Vince never got a nap in.... not good! Anyway, Here's some pic's for ya!

14 weeks!

I don't know what's wrong with that ticker but we are 14 weeks now! I am feeling much better and my skin is getting so clear! I'm thinking about posting some baby bump pic's but not right now.... You'll just have to wait.

We are getting ready for Thanksgiving here with the local family and decided to make lasagna instead of the traditional meal. I hope I get some good pic's of the peeps. We plan to put up the tree Friday and Vince is very excited. He asks for the tree at least twice a day. I will be sure to post on that too.

I really want to go "black Friday" but I guess I'll have to go alone. No one wants to get up and Mark will have to stay with Vince.
Going to get real busy around here soon, Thanksgiving, setting up tree, Dr. appt., Christmas, then THE SONOGRAM!!!

DR. Visit

I just got home from the DR. We are measuring on time and I lost 4 pounds!

The heartbeat was 156 and an old wives tale says anything over 140 is a girl! We set our sonogram appointment for January 7. I know, no one thinks that's farther away than I do! I was hoping to do it just before Christmas but the DR. said the ultrasound tech is off for 2 weeks and this was the soonest we could do it. I want to get a 3D ultrasound but those are $125.00!!!
That would be sooooooooo neat.

Anyway, 7 more weeks and counting........

Ok..... This is weird

My last post was an update on the "big boy bed". Well, if you recall, I said he only slept all night on Sunday! Well, ALL WEEK he woke up around 2AM EVERY NIGHT since.
Last night, he slept all night!!!! What is the deal? He only sleeps on Sundays? I don't get it? Nothing unusual during the week that should make him wake up! Guess he is so filled with the spirit that he can sleep. I just think it's funny.

Big boy bed update!

Well, needless to say, Saturday night, his first night, did not go so well! I could have been worse I know but he did wake up and get out of the bed about 500 times! (this was all at once) He eventually went to sleep and stayed in bed. Last night he slept ALL NIGHT!!! NOT A PEEP! He did wake up at 5:45 and we let him come on in the bed with us. I guess he needed to go hear about Jesus at church to help him sleep!

He is so funny, he has sooooo many books and he loves them all but he, for about a week now, has been bringing us his little bible and his "God I wonder" book over and over again! We are so very proud of him and He even tries to pray at dinner! (copying Daddy)

Anyway, I guess I'll wrap this up and enjoy the quiet!

WEEK 11 !!!!!!

WELL, according to our new due date we are 11 weeks now. I am soooo excited,
next week we will finish the first trimester! I feel much better now still a little
nausiated but better. My boobs hurt and the veins look like the Dallas mix-master! TMI? SORRY! Next Dr. appt is at 13 weeks, not sure what they'll do besides check heartbeat. I love to hear that!!! Anyway, byE FOR NOW

Only one pea in the pod! Yeah! Now, just need clarification on girl! We are so excited. It was very overwhelming for me and Mark. Hearing the heartbeat of this sweet tiny was very emotional.
Just incase you are wondering: the baby is the blob inside the dark circle.

Mark and I were up at 6 and I'm tired. It's nap time but I wanted to post this first.

Your baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.

Whoever that is voting Boy, ................QUIT IT!!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Just kidding!
